Activity 1:
Paper plate rainbows. We talked about how rainbows are really full circles, but we only see half of it, because the earth covers the rest. So we used paper plates and torn construction paper to create rainbows. Here's an example.
We then did one of the snack ideas that I was most excited about! It is called Arctic oranges. You take an orange and zigzag the top off. Then scoop all the inside of the orange out. Combine the orange guts with OJ in a blender. Put the mixture back into the orange. Add a cherry and freeze for 2 hours!
Unfortunately, they sounded much better than they tasted! While they were not terrible, they were not great either!
