Today we started off by making super cool flags. You take 9 craft sticks and paint 5 red and 4 white. Explain to the children that a flag really would have 13 stripes. Once they are dry glue them to a piece of cardstock. Then glue a blue construction paper square in the corner. Apply stickers to the square. I couldn't find white stars so we used silver. They turned out amazing.

We then tried to make a peppermint candy wreath. You will see no pictures because every single one fell apart. The idea is that you line peppermints around a pie tin and bake at 250 for 5 min. Ours did not work :(

Our snack was painted cookies. Using refrigerated cookie dough, simple crack an egg and add a few drops of food

coloring. Let the kids paint away. Then bake! Yum!
